Carlos Amoralesis a teriffic computerdrawer, his digitalworks are bewitching
but at the same time forbidding. with his performances and his installations
he invites the puplic to participate and to ruminate. “choose or dance”
the subtitle of his show at the migros museum für gegenwartskunst in zurich,
the spectators had the freedom just to observe, to create a specific part of
a shoe or to dance. at the same time he showed “open” at my gallery.
the show contained of a retainer which unabled me to speak correctly.
His work, amorales vs. amorales, premiered at the migros musem then traveled
to the pompidou, san diego and tijuana. The two wrestlers wore the exact same
mask, showing an abstaction of the artist’s face. who wins?
